REACH Annex XIV which lists all the substances banned from use in the European Union saw the addition of 11 new entries on 6th February.
Three phthalates, two boron compounds, trixylyl phosphate, as well as the substances of the Karanal group and 4 benzotriazole will be banned from use in Europe, except with an authorisation.
The ban will be implemented in stages starting in 2023, while the latest application dates to apply for an authorisation were set on August 2021 for the first substances.
What are the new substances in Annex XIV? What are the condition to extend their uses? How to anticipate your applications for authorisation?
