China is one of the biggest markets for the cosmetics companies and so one of the most attractive into the world but it is also one of the most secret.
At the end of June, the Chinese competent authorities published the long awaited Cosmetic Supervision and Administration Regulation (known as CSAR) which will come into force on 1st January 2021.
Since this publication, several drafts of measures to implement the CSAR’s requirements have been published for consultation.
As some requirements are still unclear, aboard the Chinese cosmetic market may still represent a big challenge for cosmetic companies.
