The dossier submitted by the CTACSub consortium at the end of 2015 was approved by the European Commission on 18/12/2020 (except for decorative chrome plating which decision is still pending). The deadline for that Authorisation is 21/09/2024. If your uses of CrVI are only covered by this upstream consortium, you must decide on your post-2024 REACH Authorisation strategy early in 2021. It’s all the more important than the Legal Affairs Committee of the European Parliament voted on 22 February in favour of an action for annulment of the CTACSub Authorisation decision.
Currently you still have the possibility to set up an individual or joint dossier to maximise the Authorisation period in line with the ECHA's expectations and recommendations. Depending on your uses and possible grouping, the cost of the dossier can be shared and greatly reduced.
This webinar aims to give you a comparative analysis of the different possible strategies to renew your REACH authorisation (individual, grouped or upstream consortium dossier).
