HOW TO ENSURE YOUR COMPLIANCE?

ENSURE YOUR COMPLIANCE

As part of the REACH Registration, the exposure assessment in the Chemical Safety Report (CSR) is carried out in the form of exposure scenarios

A robust risk assessment requires an adequate construction of the exposure scenario(s) including the description of the associated risk management measures. The supplier of the chemicals having been registered under REACH with a CSR has the obligation to communicate the exposure scenarios in the annexes of the Safety Data Sheet (SDS), named as extended SDS (eSDS).

It is crucial for the downstream user receiving this eSDS to be able to decipher this information in order to be compliant with the operational conditions and risk management measures mentioned in the eSDS

AGENDA

  • What is an exposure scenario? How to identify the key information in eSDS?
  • How to define your use according to the use descriptor system?
  • What are your obligations and timeline?
  • How to comply with the exposure scenario?
