The UK has left the EU and the transition period comes to an end on 31st December 2020.
From 1 January 2021, Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) will put in place a regulatory framework for biocidal products. It will reflect the current EU framework (EU BPR), but they will operate independently of each other.
Many procedures currently carried out by the EU will be carried out in addition in Great Britain. Some EU procedures have been removed such as union authorisations and mutual recognition as they will no longer operate in Great Britain.
In order to help you to anticipate and understand the new legislation put in place in Great Britain, we will give you a short overview of the obligations if you are for example an active substance supplier or biocidal product supplier.
