The active substances "active chlorine generated from sodium chloride by electrolysis" and "active chlorine released from hypochlorous acid" (CAS 7782-50-5), have an approval date on the 1st of July 2022 for product types (PT) 2 and 5 (surfaces disinfection), PT 3 (veterinary use) and PT 5 (drinking water disinfection). As a dossier for a marketing authorisation can take up to 12 months to prepare, it is crucial to start the process as soon as possible.
A consortium dedicated to the preparation of joint MA dossiers has been created by EcoMundo. It gathers several actors of biocidal products that use active chlorine and wish to reduce the costs related to the constitution of their dossier. You can also join this consortium! The deadline for joining is 1 July 2021.
Our webinar will outline the obligations and deadlines for remaining in the active chlorine market after July 2022. We will also detail how the consortium works in order to optimise costs while implementing an optimal regulatory dossier strategy.
